Jay Gibson
I was born and raised in Greer and am part of one of the oldest insurance families in Greer. After graduation from Greer High School I matriculated to Presbyterian College where I was a member of the Theta Chi Fraternity and earned a business degree. After graduation from PC, I began working in my family’s insurance agency, Landford & Gibson, where I eventually became President and sole owner. I have been a licensed property and casualty and life insurance agent since 1985. In 2013, I decided to join Owens Insurance Agency. I received my Certificate of General Insurance in 1988 and my Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation in 1995 and I am a past President of the Upstate Chapter of CPCU. I have 2 grown, married, children Alec and Devin and I am happily married to my wonderful wife, Karen. My hobbies include woodworking, golf, art, fossils, animals, samurai swords, and Japanese Shotokan Karate, in which I hold a second-degree black belt.
