About Owens
On April 1, 1952 Don Owens established Owens Insurance Agency in Greer SC. Many folk thought he was in fact crazy, since there were already two set up insurance firms in Greer selling residential & car insurance for the Upstate of South Carolina. But Don was not put off.

In January, 2009, Shane Lynn & Chris Crist purchased Owens Insurance Agency at the hands of Riley Owens who had bought the agency from his own dad in 1993. Shane started working in the insurance field in 1990 for the provider side. 1st in claims with Penn National, then with Selective Insurance in which he grew to be an officer of the business running procedures like marketing, claims, new business underwriting in Selective' s 9 Midwestern states.
Chris, had been a school soccer instructor & began working in the construction field in 1996 moved out of residential development to business & industrial development in The year 2003. The brother-in-law's joined powers in 2009 & continued this family company of Owens Insurance Agency.
